It’s hard to imagine a Wood River Valley without the awesome purveyor of arts and culture, Sun Valley Center for the Arts. But The Center wasn’t always a major presence in our Valley, it was born 34 years ago when Glenn Janss and a few close friends decided that our community needed a center for arts, humanities, and culture. To support The Center’s breadth of work, Janss and her team established the Sun Valley Wine Auction. As the premier annual fundraising event for The Center, its proceeds make up 50% of The Center’s budget and directly support a wide array of programs in arts education, school curriculum support, enrichment programs, professional theater and performing arts experiences, scholar programs, music, and free arts programming for the entire community.
