We Read Here! Sun Valley Writers’ Conference and The Community Library Share the Literary Wealth by Kim Frank

For four days every summer since 1995, Sun Valley is host to a collection of some of the most glittering jewels in the literary universe. What began as a small group of notable and aspiring writers and readers eager to learn from one another on the Community School campus has grown into an intellectual feast that includes poet laureates, Supreme Court justices, award-winning novelists and screenwriters, and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists…not just one or two of the world’s most brilliant minds, but an embarrassment of riches. While it’s true that passes sell out within seconds of going on sale, the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference (July 12-15, 2016) makes it possible for the broader community to experience the magic of this extremely special event in several ways throughout the week. This effort includes local scholarships, free tickets for local teachers and students, partnerships with local bookstores (who curate sections specific to Writers’ Conference authors), single event tickets, a new offering of two free lawn talks, and a special new partnership with The Community Libraryin Ketchum.
