When spoken aloud to almost any adult, virtually every movie on this list elicits some kind of audible response, such as the “oohhh…” heard at the end of a particularly cool firework display to the nostalgic “yeah” evoked upon re-discovering a beloved toy like Rock’em Sock’em Robots on eBay. More likely than not, at least one of these films is on our short list of all-time favorite films.
