This time of year, injuries abound. The combination of spring snow, parking lot ice, and slick Nordic trails set us up for the increased chance of sudden falls and accidents in general. The most common injuries I see are fractured legs, collarbones and wrists, torn knee ligaments, and head and spine injuries. Injuries are painful, time-consuming, and difficult to go through, but there are ways to speed up healing that can shave weeks or months off the process.
