Strong Bodies: Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Athletes By Hayden Seder

Training and maintaining the fitness of their athletes is one of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s biggest priorities. As new training programs and better equipment become available, it’s SVSEF’s job to make sure that their training programs are up to snuff. For the 2017-2018 season, SVSEF has made several changes to help facilitate the creation of strong bodies: a new roller ski facility at Community School’s Dumke Family Sagewillow Campus; the renovation of the Nordic team’s Lake Creek Hut; the joint-hiring with Community School of Johnie Michael, High-Performance Specialist; assuming operations of Rotarun and furthering programming there; and adding a designated mogul training course on Baldy. These new changes, in addition to existing facilities and training programs, will help SVSEF’s athletes become champions.
