It seems unnecessary to regale you with all the unique things about the Sun Valley area. But one thing you may not know is that one of America’s foremost galleries of contemporary Aboriginal art exists in Ketchum. Harvey Art Projects (HAP), located at 391 First Avenue in Ketchum, is dedicated to developing cultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation of contemporary Aboriginal art in America. The gallery was founded in 2009 by Sun Valley resident and native Australian Julie Harvey. Harvey is an art curator and leading Aboriginal art specialist with over 25 years of experience in Australia and the United States. She has curated a number of national and international shows and presents events in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. She also serves on the Advisory Council for the Kluge-Ruhe Collection of Aboriginal Art at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. HAP features a rotating collection of works by some of the most acclaimed artists from the Northern Territory, West, and South Australia.
