Completely remodeled and providing all your breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs within the stunning Sun Valley Lodge lobby, Gretchen’s Restaurant offers fresh, innovative cuisine for every meal. Named for Sun Valley’s own Gretchen Fraser, the first American to win an Alpine Olympic Gold Medal, Gretchen’s has been a mainstay of Sun Valley for years. With a new lodge and restaurant renovation comes a complete revamping of the traditional menu, mixing modern mainstays in with traditional comforts. Healthy favorites like the egg white frittata and the “power bowl” appear on the breakfast menu next to classics like eggs benedict and cinnamon bread pudding French toast. Lunch features small plates like wild-caught prawns or Maine lobster Caeser or big plates like the fish & chips, house-cured pastrami reuben, or a kale & quinoa wrap. For dinner, seasonal meats and seafood are a specialty including Idaho sturgeon, “nightly fresh fish specials”, Northwest Kobe beef, locally-raised pork prime rib, and hand-made pastas.
